Resilience In The Face Of Rejection While Door Knocking
Winston Salem Industrial Park : A Day of Knocking on Doors
I was able to talk to one person in each building. Some doors swung open with warmth and hospitality, while others remained firmly shut. Rejection was a common theme, with seventeen doors firmly closing in my face. There were two encounters that left a lasting impression.
The first was a reunion with a long-lost friend, someone I had crossed paths with during my time working at a country club. To my surprise, they had recently acquired a massive 100,000 square foot building in the industrial park and were thriving. It served as a reminder of the power of perseverance and the potential for growth that lies within us all.
The second encounter was with a stranger who shared their vision for the future. They spoke of expansion and the need for more space to accommodate their growing business. It was a manufacturing company looking for more space in the area.
Exploring Winston Salem Industrial Park, I am reminded of the importance of taking chances and embracing the unknown. Each door holds a new opportunity, a chance to make connections. While not every door may open, it is those moments of connection and discovery that make the journey worthwhile.
So here’s to knocking on doors, to the resilience in the face of rejection, and to the endless possibilities that await those bold enough to explore. Winston Salem’s industrial park may be just a small corner of the world, but within its walls lies a universe of opportunity waiting to be discovered.
